Alt.food.sushi, hereafter known as A.F.S, is a Usenet newsgroup devoted to the discussion of sushi, and related Japanese food and culture.

What topics are appropriate for discussion in this newsgroup?

Sushi, sashimi, critters, restaurants, terminology, ceremony, sake, table manners, anything having to do with Japanese food or experience is welcome.

Commercial posts

Unrelated commercial posts are discouraged. Commercial posts are only appropriate when the subject matter suits the interests of the group. Please make no more than one (1) commercial post per week on the same topic. We do not browse the newsgroup to learn how to 'Get rich quick!' With grammar like that, you should be posting in the alt.usage.english newsgroup anyway.

Spamming

Simply put, please do not spam the newsgroup. A.F.S is devoted to the discussion of sushi and related Japanese foodstuffs. Spamming wastes bandwidth, and unrelated posts, which are often the case with spam, are inappropriate and unwelcome. Please post spam to other newsgroups and leave A.F.S alone. Unless, by `spam,' you mean the sushi. :)
