File, page, layout, and link formats
To make this wiki straight forward and consistent we offer this set of guidelines to make the creation easy for all to navigate.
Creating New Links
To create a new link, click the 'edit' tab at the top of the current page, and ad "[ [" before the restaurant name and place "] ]" at the end, without the quotes and without the spaces (I have to add the spaces to show the actual code or it will turn into a link). You can italicize the name by placing two single quotes (e.g. ' ' ) before and after the name. At the bottom of the page are show preview and a save page buttons after you finish your edit.
State Pages
For State pages, the page file name format will be the capitalized name of the state (e.g. "New York")
The restaurant list will be laid out in the following manner:
City
restaurant name city state|restaurant name - Address (with restaurant name being a link to the restaurant page)
The "|" is called a 'pipe' and is, on standard PC keyboards, is made with shift&backslash, the key above the enter key.
Restaurant Pages
The page file name format will be the restaurant Name City State (e.g. "Japanese Restaurant New Paltz New York")
For Restaurant page layout, the format will be:
"Restaurant Information"--------
Name:
Address:
Phone #:
Website:
"Description"---------
Text here.
"Reviews"---------
"Quoted text here." - User name (e.g. Warren R. or however you would like to be viewed).
